Homecoming marquee letters are the easiest way to make HOCO feel like a big deal. We rent giant 40 inch light up letters across San Diego for dances, games and the big ask, and we handle delivery, setup and pickup. Here’s how schools and students are using them this season.
Ways to use homecoming marquee letters
- The dance entrance: a glowing HOCO right at the door sets the tone before anyone hits the dance floor.
- The photo spot: put the letters in front of a backdrop and you’ve got the picture everyone posts that night.
- The game: light up the field or the stands with your school’s name or a GO cheer.
- The ask: HOCO with a question mark is a big way to ask someone to the dance.
What to spell
HOCO is the classic. Other favorites are your school’s initials, GO plus your mascot, or HOCO with the year. We lit up GO POINTERS on the field at Point Loma High, and it made the whole night.

How much do homecoming marquee letters cost?
Letters are $70 each, per day. HOCO is four letters, so it’s $280.
Delivery is based on distance from our home base in Point Loma. It starts at $70 nearby and goes up to $200 for spots farther out. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.

How booking works
- Send your date, location and what you want to spell on our Book Now page.
- We send your quote and rental agreement. A 50% deposit locks in your date.
- We deliver, set up and test everything, then pick it all up after.

How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can. Homecoming weekends overlap across San Diego, so dates fill up fast in the fall.
Can you set up on a field or outdoors?
Yes. We’ve set up on the field at Point Loma High. If there’s no power nearby, we bring a portable battery pack or generator.
Can a student book for a HOCO ask?
Yes. Just loop in a parent for the booking and the deposit, and we’ll handle the rest.
Do you work with schools directly?
Yes. We work with ASB, activities directors and parent groups. Reach out and we’ll help plan it.
