Terms of Service
By booking a rental with SoCal Light Letters, you agree to the following terms. These website terms summarize our standard rental policies; the specific terms for your booking are set out in your signed rental agreement.
Bookings and deposits
A 50% deposit secures your rental items for your event date. Your date and items are reserved only once your deposit and signed rental agreement are received. Payment in full is due the day before delivery.
Cancellations
Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel 30 or more days before your event date. If you cancel between 29 and 14 days before the event, 50% of the deposit is refundable. Cancellations less than 14 days before the event forfeit the deposit and any payments made. In the case of inclement weather, payments are not refunded, but your event may be rescheduled based on availability.
Delivery, setup, and pickup
We provide delivery, setup, and pickup for all rentals. Delivery fees are based on your event location. You are responsible for ensuring adequate space, access, and a power source at your event location.
Care of rental items
All letters and equipment remain the property of SoCal Light Letters at all times. Normal wear and tear — dirt, minor scratches, a single broken bulb, loose trim or stands — is covered under your standard rental. Please do not place anything on top of the letters (drinks, décor, etc.) or apply adhesive strips to them. Confetti and colored powder can stain the letters, so please wipe them off immediately if contact occurs.
If a letter is destroyed or stolen while in your care, a replacement charge of $450 per letter applies. If a letter is stained and requires repainting, a fee of $150 per letter applies.
Payment methods
We accept Venmo, Cash, Check, Cash App, and Zelle. Credit card payments are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
Liability
SoCal Light Letters is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss arising from the use or placement of our rental items during your event. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your rental.
Photography release
We may photograph our setups at your event for use on our website, advertisements, and social media. If you’d prefer we not use images from your event, please let us know in advance.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
